Jacksonville Center For Endoscopy was established in 1998, Jacksonville Center for Endoscopy offers an alternative to hospitalization when a gastrointestinal endoscopy is needed. Our goal is to deliver the highest quality gastrointestinal care in an efficient, cost effective and compassionate atmosphere. JCE is a state licensed, AHCA certified outpatient ambulatory surgical center, owned and operated by the physicians of Borland-Groover Clinic. Our center has surpassed the standards required by Medicare for licensure and we take great pride in achieving accreditation from The Joint Commission. To maintain our licensure and accreditation status, JCE is surveyed and inspected every three years, assuring our patients the highest quality care available.

Why would I need this facility?

An endoscopy is a specialized procedure that allows direct visualization of the GI tract, giving the physician the ability to accurately diagnosis your GI problems. Specialized procedures, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy (Colonoscopy, Upper Endoscopy and Sigmoidoscopy), are performed at our center. Most patients find this more convenient and prefer the individual care received at our center, rather than going to a hospital. Many patients visit JCE for colonoscopy, a routine colon cancer screenings test. Colon Cancer Screening is easier than you think and one of the best ways to prevent and detect colon cancer. Your physician will recommend one of the following: FOBT (Fecal Occult Blood Test), Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy, Barium Enema with Air Contrast or a Virtual Colonoscopy. These tests are recommended by American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy for colon cancer screening. Colorectal cancer is highly preventable with regular colon cancer screening.
